Kite (カイト)Player Type: Twin Blades The protagonist of the story. His friend, Orca, recommends him to play in 'The World', but the unexpected events that were to come were expecting him. He obtains the ability to 'data drain' using his bracelet called 'The Twilight', given to him by a girl named Aura. It enables him to alter the game and perhaps affects players of the real world as well. |
Black Rose (ブラックローズ)Player Type: Heavy Blade A very vigorous and optimistic girl. She likes to challenge those of a higher level than her, and is known to be reckless. She acts before she thinks most of the time. |
Balmung (バルムンク)Player Type: Blade User Within "The World" he's known as 'Balmung of the Azure Sky'. He's been a veteran player from the early first versions of the game. He's partnered up with Orca who together they completed an event that brought them their fame within 'The World'. |
Orca (オルカ) Player Type: Blade User Orca is Kite's friend in the real world and is a veteran in 'The World'. Though his character is a muscle-packed warrior, in the real world he's a completely different person. Within 'The World', he's teamed up with Balmung of the Heavens, and is known as 'Orca of the Azure Sea'. |
Mistral (ミストラル)Player Type: Wavemaster A dynamic player who's talent is as an item collector, looking for rare treasure. Always lively and confident. |
Elk (エルク)Player Type: Wavemaster Elk's a timid character would usually be found following Mia around. He lacks self-confidence in himself but he's dedicated. |
Mia (ミア)Player Type: Blade User / Original Character A cunning player who modified her own character illegally to take a form of a cat. She also takes interest in Kite's powerful bracelet. |
Gardenia (ガルデニア)Player Type: Long Arm A strong and skilled player with her own fanclub. Gardenia does not like to joke around and only recognizes one's strength by battling. |
Sanjuro (砂嵐 三十郎) Player Type: Blade User A mysterious, serious player obsessed with katanas. He goes in search for the Kotetsu Sword within 'The World'. |
Helba (ヘルバ)Player Type: Original Character Known to be a legendary hacker; she illegally modified her own character to her liking. As mysterious as she can get, she does not reveal the reasons for her actions for helping Kite or influencing 'The World'. |
Piroshi (ぴろし) Player Type: Heavy Axe An egotistical player who believes he, himself's the main hero. He usually speaks poeticly and is known to be a video game addict. |
Aura (アウラ)A young and beautiful girl first found being chased by an unknown monster. She bestows Kite the Book of the Twilight. Like a ghost, she's seen floating around in the sky. |
